So tell me...is it Sick and Wrong to get a marriage license and apply for licenses to
carry concealed weapons on the same trip to the courthouse...?
In any case, I now have a map...

Date: 2004-10-15 11:48 am (UTC)Just bear in mind that, while a hand-gun is cheaper than a divorce attorney, a criminal defense attorney costs twice what a divorce attorney does. :-)
(Not original with me - I'd quipped that my ex-wife should realize a gun is cheaper than a divorce attorney, and my co-worker was fast on the reply.)

Date: 2004-10-17 01:30 am (UTC)Reaction: Really? cool?
Kyleri's getting a marriage license
Gut reaction: To Lewis?
Secondary reaction: Mistwolf: I doubt it's a shotgun wedding
Ku_she: I can't see Kyleri's mum with a shotgun and Kyleri will be too busy to hold it herself
Mistwolf: Yeah, but Derek would, or about 20 other Shire members ...
So now I have this image of a wonderful SCA ceremony, with everyone in garb and Derek holding a shotgun and looking damn serious. If I were Lewis I'd just shut up and say "Yes" in the right spots.

(We once presented friends with a matched set of Dueling Pans when they got hitched... btw they're still together lots of years later)

Date: 2004-10-20 07:56 pm (UTC)As long as you didn't get that license already, you just ask for it when you get it and you'll be fine with whoever you want (or nobody) performing the ceremony.
Good luck and congrats!
