2) Hades, who hasn't been eating much & flat-out stopped eating yesterday, is responding nicely to antibiotics, & the vet appointment WITH meds was only $53.

3) People are still buying enough stuff online for me to survive a bit longer.

4) My mental health is not great, but it's not really getting worse, which is ... a lot better than it could be.

1) I got a gym membership AND actually walked on the treadmill for half an hour at a decent pace without falling over or fainting or ANYTHING!

2) Roommate is starting a jewelry business & I am having FUN helping them with the business aspects.

3) Avocados exist & are SO DELICIOUS.

4) It's spring! & it's warm! & beautiful!

1) Between my mom & my Aunt Ann, between my birthday & Christmas, I've gotten enough Home Despot gift cards to pay for the metal roof I want on the tinker's wagon NOW instead of waiting til I've scraped up the money.

2) Loiosh is recovering nicely from tooth extraction -- he is back to his usual speedy self, & the gap where the teeth were is healing up cleanly.

5) Relatedly, I'm pretty fearless about trying things to fix stuff on my computer, which means I can often fix things despite not actually knowing a lot about how to computers.

1) Loiosh hadda have his teeth cleaned, which means full anaesthesia, which is always worrying, but he came through just fine & with four fewer teeth.

2) When we got home last night he had the energy for his usual hijinks & dashing about, but he was still pretty st0ned on painkillers so a lot of the running happened sideways.

3) His appetite came back just fine! Although it took him until this morning to really remember how to work his face again. Apparently that can be tricky. Especially when one is REALLY REALLY FUCKED UP MOM

4) He is in an APPALLINGLY good mood today, not surprisingly since the teeth that got pulled were really hurting him & now NOTHING HURTS. Also he's still a little st0ned. With the results that he REALLY wants to rub his face all over my hands, but sometimes kinda misses & just headbutts me in various fingers & then falls over.

5) I brought Tom & Hades along for the whole trip, too, since I was gonna be gone overnight, & they were patient & well-behaved & had lots of fun running around the park while we waited for Loiosh.

6) ALSO it is A MILESTONE it got cold enough the night we spent in the van that Tom ASKED to come under the covers with me, so we have achieved a Three Cat Night.

2) INCLUDING stuff from my cousin's three girls, about which more later

3) I THINK i have an idea for a story to write? maybe??

5) The quiet of the last two weeks of the year, between Last Ship Day (when I close the website) & New Years (when I open it back up)

1) I live halfway across the country from my family, & thus don't have to go to a large loud gathering of people I have very little in common with.

2) That said, yesterday I was on the phone with my mom & she said she was impressed with how the tinker's wagon is going. I think this is the first time in my entire life she's said something like that to me.

3) ... & that I know, more or less, mostly, that my worth is not tied to what my mother thinks of me.

4) The fact that I apparently have the knowledge & physical ability to build nearly an entire tinker's wagon nearly entirely by myself.

5) My jerkass cats.

6) My pocket friends, among whom I count y'all.

7) Freezer pizza.

... on account of I hadda drive all the way to Albuquerque yesterday for a doctor's appointment to get my meds refilled. But, well.

1) My regular doc was on vacation, but the guy I saw instead is a fellow geek AND, when he did a couple checks I was unfamiliar with, was happy to not only explain them, but give me further resources. & by 'further resources' I mean 'the Mayo Clinic'.

2) My van, which is a good van, & takes me to the places that I need to go in comfort if not in style.

3) Mom & Aunt Ann, who've both given up on trying to talk me into being who they think I should be, & who are both, finally, enjoying who I AM & (!!) encouraging me to INTENSIFY THE THINGS.

3) My knees, which, despite all the climbing up & down (& up & down & up & down ... ) involved in construction work are, somehow, still functional & generally painless.

4) My spine, which ain't painless but at least hasn't decided to go out or anything while I'm schlepping 2x4s around.

5) My sweet, terrible cats.
