If this goes off I'll be journaling my progress, and possibly posting excerpts. But I don't want to spam everyone...so if you want to keep updated on this insanity, let me know, and I'll add you to the filter. (Okay, certain of you will be stuck with it unless you opt out, but you probably know who you are...)

Do you know yet what you're going to be writing?

Not sure yet. Spent a lot of time thinking about it last night (unfortunately while I was supposed to be sleeping) and came up with lots of ideas, but couldn't settle on one.

I want to have an outline and characters before the 1st though; you're allowed to do that much as long as you haven't actually written any of the novel itself, yet.

An update: I have a plot, more or less, and characters, and a goodly chunk of fairly detailed outline. I'm afraid, however, that there will be talking cats. Or one, at least.

Surprisingly enough, I don't think so. Surprising because of just how many interconnecting friends I've discovered. Anyway we've got jkusters (partner of the guy who introduced me to the SCA), annathepiper (friend from an Elfquest list). The other person, shellefly, did it last year but isn't going to have time this year.

I'd love to be added to the filter. Not sure how much time I'll have to check it out as it goes, though, or when said time would occur.

I thought about doing this myself, but decided I'd better not. (1) I suspect my writing talents work better with nonfiction. (2) I have *enough* writing to do. (3) After I'd already decided not to, montuos told me "No!" before I could tell her that wasn't necessary.

Wow. The whole concept is really cool. I wish it were Decemeber, training goes dead in December but I've already got two courses scheduled for November. :/
