Not so much Nothing, really...

kellan_the_tabbyWell, we got the space cleared out for the new bed, and in the process got most of the bedroom floor thoroughly mopped. Mostly thanks to Lewis.
Got the kitchen a lot more cleaned up, did a bunch of laundry, got stuff outside drying nicely, worked on getting the new shelves up in the basement.
Spent a lot of time doing nothing but not Nothing...the mattress was supposed to show up between 1 and 5. Around 5:30 Lewis called the company...they said that the drivers had three stops before us, still, and it shouldn't be more than another hour.
They finally got there around 8.
Now, watching the two of them work, I'm thinking it wasn't their fault...they were quick, efficient, and cheerful. In and out in fifteen minutes even counting the exciting time we had getting the mattress up the stairs. Lewis and I helped, of course - it took all four of us to bend the thing enough to make the turn. I fed them ice water afterwards and boy, were they grateful. I'll bet they had a hell of a day - it was stupidly hot and I think they just got way overbooked. We weren't their last stop of the night, either.
In any case...we have a bed and it's really comfortable. It's high enough that I have to _climb_ up onto it, which will only get worse once we have a real frame for it...but I'll live.
However, it's hard to do Nothing instead of nothing when one is waiting for something to arrive at the house...can't run out to the store quick, can't both shower at the same time, can't get into anything that isn't easily interrupted...like making a decent dinner...or eating it once it's done...
So...not as relaxing as it could have been, or as we'd've liked it to have been. But still some time off, and some stuff done, and we're in a better position to do squat-all _next_ weekend.
