Home safe from War. Weather mostly really good save for deluge the last few days. Cooper's Lake now has two lakes. The Serengetti should _not_ at any point have water more than a foot deep.
Quite a bit of angst though most of it seems to have been worked through for the moment. Had to throw away the king-sized futon due to total soakage. Fixes to yurt necessary before using it again; also a bed frame so water does not soak _up_ through futon. Trying to sleep with wet butt and drip on nose highly sucky though sufficient company in bed kept all warm enough.
Point seemed to run well though not allowing Evan and Margaret to do decisions every night of War at the Point ever ever ever again. Erin's traceable art saved the day, along with Gise running the art tent. Found a few new highly enthusiastic artists which also helped muchly. One in Carolingia who wants to get a herald's warrant which is happy.
Got invited to Known World Rapier Party by Liam. Didn't realize it was rapier party until halfway through, which shows how tired I was. Stayed up later than Istvan. Odd.
Bought handgonne (it's pretty small, only .50 caliber) and got to make boom noises. Will be buying powder and making boom noises regularly once I find out how the Ukranian Homestead feels about such things. Suspect they won't noice.
Used to get bodice tan. Then started to get keyhole neckline tan. This year, got chausses tan. V. odd.
Bought rings Wednesday night. One with large red stone, one with small green stone. Some of you can probably figure out why. Still v. odd to be wearing rings. Not used to it but this time they're not bothering me.
Stayed at Erin's Saturday night. Roof, walls, shower, dry bed. Doesn't get any better than that.
Long ride home. Constructing backup close to end of ride. V. frustrating.
Cats all doing well. Miki v. insistent. Petted him good and gave him brushies. Purred a lot.
Going the frell to bed now.
