$10 from this will go to the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico • trans people being kinda liminal & all • seemed appropriate


materials • i found the heavy steel wire along the side of the road

• the copper wire was gifted to me by my brother-in-law, who salvages it from the generators he repairs for a living

• i think some of it is a paperclip, who knows where i got that thing

• i found the hoop in, like, the garage maybe?


size • the hoop is 8.25″ across

i’ve learned so much • from women of colour, queer folk, disabled people • their knowledge is not comfortable • but it is necessary • find them & listen • & learn

materials • the jar had jelly in it once • it was really tasty jelly

• the copper wire was gifted to me by my brother-in-law, who salvages it from the generators he repairs for a living

• the beads are from an old necklace my roommate gave me to take apart


size • the lantern is 3.75″ high (not counting the handle) • & almost three inches across at the top

imperfect & flawed • a ragtag group of heroes • they didn’t survive • but they did what had to be done • let’s learn from this

materials • i found the seaglass while mudlarking along the banks of fountain creek in colorado • technically i suppose it’s creek glass

• the driftwood was gifted to me by a friend who collected it on a beach in california

• the copper wire was gifted to me by my brother-in-law, who salvages it from the generators he repairs for a living

• i bartered for the wood beads with a friend in pennsylvania, trading some of my soap

• the red glass beads were another barter, with a friend in pueblo


size • the entire piece is about six inches long

• the driftwood piece is just over two inches wide

• the seaglass is an inch and a half long by an inch wide at its widest
