...at which point, having access to shop air (90psi) and a tool to remove keys is a really good thing. Isopropyl alcohol is also a good thing to have handy.
I have destroyed several burgeoning microbial civilizations by hoovering the cracks and then using 90PSI as a previous commentor advised. I've never used a flammable liquid though, fearing a flash fire if it's not totally dried out before returned to the user, who may become an unwilling short term smoker.
*sigh* I keep telling myself I should get a keyboard condom...especially since I usually eat dinner right over the keyboard... *carefully does not look at keyboard*
