cats: the MOST pitifullest

I didn’t catch the pitiful mew. I tried, a BUNCH, but I didn’t catch it. He was just too impatient.

[ He’s turned his head further to the left, and is looking up, as if to ask all the heavens for patience. ]

But why, you ask, WHY is he the Moste Pitifullest? Why is he so IMPATIENT?

Why, only this.

[ A wider view. Loiosh is glaring at the camera (probably I was laughing). The leash, seen from this distance, trails around behind the pillar, then curves back to the picnic table. He’s pretty sure there is NOTHING he can do about this. ]

I did get up & lead him back out of this Extremely Complex maze. But first, I laughed at him a WHOLE LOT.

Friday we had dinner at a Vietnamese place in town, and after took the dogs to the park. BIG mistake! Too many goatheads and other burs. Anyway, our dogs are pretty good - with prompting - to walk back around trees and fence posts to untangle themselves.

EWWWW, goatheads are evil! :s I'm so glad we don't have them here in the green flatland. I grubbed many of the things out of the garden when I lived in Colorado, and I was forever worried my dog would either step on one or sniff one (he never did, thank God).

I had never heard of "goatheads" before so googled. I have to cackle at the family name: "Tribulus terrestris is an annual plant in the caltrop family widely distributed around the world."
