That’s a cat with a Plan.

I don’t know what the plan was, but he definitely had one.

… okay the plan was obviously Flopping.

I don’t know what Loiosh was looking at, but he took off after it just after I got this picture.

We went for a nice long walk. Well, I thought it was nice. Loiosh & Tom were WIPED OUT.

I managed to hit myself in the face with a tree.

Having exhausted ourselves (& by ‘ourselves’ I mean ‘the boys’, cats are NOT built for endurance), we sat for a good while. I got some sewing done.

Loiosh stared at invisible things again.

I dug out two pendulums I made last year so I could finally get pictures of them.

Eventually Loiosh decided he was hungry & started pawing at my lunch. To be fair, I usually keep his kibble in a box like that.

Alas for him, his kibble was in a box … at home. I won’t be doing THAT again.

I got some pretty good pendulum pictures! This is not one of them.

Eventually the boys declared that it was time to go home.

It was a good day. Getting out to the woods once a week has been really good for my brainparts. Which is good, cos *gestures broadly at the world*

*pets the dramatic grey flopper* I have the urge to gently play with the paws dangling over the edge of the dash, if Tom would let a friendly stranger of an Internet person do that.

*pets the curious orange... nature spirit whisperer?* The heck are you staring at, Mr. Kittyness? Let me guess, he's a furry defender, keeping the planet safe from roving evils. Oops, too much of the feline wizardry sequence for me, evidently! :)

I believe that Tom would, in fact, let you play with his paws once he got to know you! He'd also give you the Glare of Doom, but you are immune!

Loiosh ... yeah, I just don't even know.

But if any of my cats was secretly a wizard, it was Chocolate.

Awww. Also ah, but would he mean the glare of doom? Immune or not, I wouldn't want to tick him off.

Now you've got me curious about your kitty Chocolate. I may have to read previous posts, or something.

The fuzzy tailwagger in the icon would have failed utterly at keeping his wizardly status a secret, had he been one. He was not generally a subtle creature. :)

Nah, he wouldn't really mean it. He just likes having strong opinions about humans, I think. He's still horrified every time I climb into a bathtub full of water.

Chocolate was a lil shorthaired black cat -- he was SO sick as a kitten that I thought I'd lose him a bunch of times, but he made it through & became the crankiest happy cat I've ever known. He lived to be nineteen and a half & was a curmudgeon for basically his entire life. I loved him & I miss him SO much.
