the HOUSE, there is going to be a HOUSE, we are all going to be SAFE, unless the house DOES NOT HAPPEN, which is PRETTY POSSIBLE because this is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

rommate owns SO MANY THING, SO MANY, & moving all of her THING is gonna suck SO SO SO MUCH (due to being poor & moving more than ten times in the last ten years I own like six Thing, I will be moved in a week & unpacked in two)

also ACCIDENTALLY HOUSE & BATTLEMOOR & CHRISTMAS IS COMING & also i am still working on redoing the labels & getting itchy to start redesigning my roommate's website & TOO MANY THING AUGH

also also there is Unfortunate Personal Politics involving Battlemoor & who is & isn't coming up with us & when people are available to work & when they're not & UGH I CANNOT EVEN WITH THIS WHY CAN I NOT HAVE DEPENDABLE MINIONS

the good

holy shit a house? & it is BIG (3000-something square feet for like $129 thousand, possibly only because it's _weird_, it belonged to an artist (i typed 'beloved' first which is also true i am pretty sure), it has KILNS which is the only thing that made Rowan agree to somewhere in town, the ceilings are low enough for us to reach up & touch & all three of us are short, there is a kiva fireplace, it is adobe & thus stays pretty cool on its own, did i mention it is a HOUSE that WE WILL OWN & thus WE WILL BE SAFE??

approximately a zillion people have offered to help us move, even if only half of them actually manage anything it'll be about as not-sucky as a move is likely gonna be, also my roommate is committed to continuing to reduce her Stuff -- it's either gonna find a place in the new house, or be Gone

Medium-Sized Child is coming to Battlemoor with us & IS a dependable minion & also this gets him away from his mother for like a week which is a really, really Good Thing

the plan

make stuff, label stuff, sell stuff, pack stuff, move stuff, fix stuff, get lots of stuff done, get through Battlemoor & then housebuying & then moving & then Christmas & then I get to sleep sometime in January holy shit it's gonna be a long couple months

also, napping

also unrelatedly my oldmancat is feeling SO GOOD he just zoomed across my desk like three times & is now stomping around the house SHOUTING

I had a dream once that houses were the larval form of spaceships and they were just waiting for the right inhabitants to grow bigger so they could take off. But they would never take off unless the inhabitants wanted to travel in space because spaceships are, apparently, VERY BIG on both consent and having appropriate company on their travels. Until then they just sleep and let people live in them.

I think it works better in countries where the houses are mostly detached. Here the house we rent is attached not only to the ground but also to the houses on either side. So I guess we would have to wait until the entire row had the right inhabitants if it was going to grow into a spaceship and take off.

That is an entirely lovely thought, and so desperately needs to be at least a short story if it doesn't work for any longer form. I wonder what sort of dreams the larval spaceships have while they wait for their people to be right and ready?
