Well, I already pretty much told y'all the highlights of Friday night. Also, there were tacos.

Saturday was taking poor [livejournal.com profile] meradudd in to get a tooth pulled, during which I did a spot of Christmas shopping. Thence to some retail therapy (his, not mine) and laundry. Upon collecting [livejournal.com profile] fairmanthequick and [livejournal.com profile] brat_grrl we went to the Pumphouse for dinner and mojitos. Or mojito, anyway, that having been adjudged the appropriate medicine for my aching back.

Yesterday Dwen made a lovely breakfast for the lot of us, whereupon I locked her out of her apartment. Fortunately I have a ladder and Ray as long legs, so it was easily fixed, but I still feel like a dork. A mass shopping trip commenced, topped by a three-hour-or-so ramble through Lowe's kitchen department planning the Kitchen Of Doom.

Dinner was fondue (thanks to Dwen) and chicken, rice and corn (by Tim), during which I discovered that apparently the Outlands haven't discovered Savoury Toasted Cheese yet. Well, they're about to.

After that we introduced Dwen to the concept of roleplaying. My drunken doctor turned into a bit of drunkeness for me, too; I'm gonna have to learn to play him properly whilst sober, but it was a hell of a lot of fun. Been far, far too long.

Vaguely grumpy at myself this morning, realizing a number of RP opportunities last night that I clean missed - but it's been a while, and I'll get back up to speed.

Also, trying to teach Shanti how to walk on a leash. It's been...entertaining. Frighteningly enough, though, I also think it'll work.

Now it's Monday. But, I'll live.

I have no idea if you're refering to the things "Frico" Mario Batali makes on his show "Molto Mario". Essentially you bake modest piles of Parmesan Cheese until they get melty and flatten out a bunch, then you let them cool and they're kinda like intensely cheesy crackers or potato chip shapes.

Delicious!

Yes. Any soft rich cheese will do.

You do realize that you are ALSO ultimately responsible for introducing this to a good part of the Southern Region, right?

Could we have some of that cheesey goo Kael made for the Exhibition?

And thus was history made at the Sorority of the Armored Turnip.

Ya know - it looks good -- but I think it would taste better if some garlic was added into the mix/sauce..

yummmm

and.. when are you going to make this for us?

Yum.

It's very nummy with garlic. My ex-Christopher (no, wait, that's not right, he's still Christopher, but anyway) puts garlic or shallots in his and it is very good. But I can't watch him make it as he sometimes puts cream or water in to help it emulsify.
