Weekend et cetera

Friday. Something happened Friday. I don't remember what. Oh, yeah. Got back onto PernMUSH for a bit of roleplay, which was fun once I got over the 'no RP in too long' thing.
Saturday was 100 Minutes War. Got up too early, headed to the event. Spent most of the day with
baronadhemar which was lovely. Much useful talking, some Deep Dark confessions on both sides, a few scattered catharses. Also a fair amount of shopping.
I bought nice old woodoworking tools (and Lewis's mom paid for a chunk of that, since she owes me back birthday prezzies through no fault of her own). I got a bunch of stuff from Peyton's herb shop, some of which is bubbling happily away on the stove right now, and got a deal beacuse I had less cash on me than I thought I'd had. Safia of Willowfyre Pottery just plain _gave_ me a mug when I brought a friend over to buy something. Only thing I paid full price on was the tenor recorder I bought, and that's worth the fifty I spent on it.
Stayed for just enough court to see two people we dearly love get well-deserved awards, then left, just before things apparently Got Exciting (tm). Dinner (with most of the people at the event, it turns out) at a diner down the road, with much laughter. Lewis had poor Ric _crying_, he was laughing so hard.
I got to drive home, since Lewis had gotten broken in the fighting, which was fine. I'm really enjoying being more capable of driving long distances, especially at night; not being able to was far too limiting, for far too long. Got home, sat up for a very little while, then went to bed.
To get up far too early again on Sunday for the Heraldic Christmas Party. We were giving Cateline and John a ride, so getting out of the house on time was more important than usual, so of course we didn't manage it. On top of that, we got about fifteen minutes out before realizing we'd forgotten the presents...back to the house, then out again, and I called Cateline; it turned out they were running late, too, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The ride to their place was lovely. I hadn't realized there was still that much _country_ as close to the city as they are...
Got to meet their two dogs and three of the cats. Packed them into France and burned ass south, to get to the party after it started, but before the present game. I was feeling somewhere between fairly social and wanting a nap, but I didn't have a chance for one; fortunately I wasn't tired-and-antisocial, merely tired, so I got through it just fine, and came out the other side with the brother to the dragon I brought home from last year's party. They've been snuggling ever since. Lewis got a really nice vase, a small noisemaking toy (which he foisted off on Jadwiga who foisted it off on Tero, which is fine as long as revenge doesn't happen). We left a bit earlier than usual, and I drove home from Cateline and John's, and we spent pretty much that whole part of the ride talking a whole lot of things over, including some stuff I've been some nervous about bringing up. It was a good discussion and we got a bunch of stuff worked out.
Monday neither of us what what you'd want to go and call 'awake'. Lewis had to go to work but I shamelessly sat upon my butt (okay, well, mostly) especially once what seemed like a minor stomach bug kicked in. I did some laundry and dishes and a bit of cleaning downstairs, and actually got some writing done. Not a _lot_, but the first time I sat down and wrote something because I _wanted_ to in probably a couple of weeks.
We both slept like rocks and I woke up feeling a lot better today...until the goop started building up in the back of my throat. :P I might be coming down with a cold; I'm hoping it's just allergies, but we'll see. I _really_ don't need to be sick again, especially with Darkover coming up. Took it real easy again, with napping. I hope that helps. If not, it'll be lots of drugs for Darkover, and a whole lot of sleepingness. And probably missing Sunday morning mass _again_ and not even for a fun reason this time.
Tomorrow's gonna be cleaning/packing for Darkover. Thursday is dinner at Lewis's mom's boyfriend's brother's place, then going to her place for sandwiches and talking as long as we can stand to stay there, which will be several hours shorter than she wants us to. I love her dearly, I really do, but the 'guilt son into spending all free time with mother' thing is getting slightly old. *eyeroll*
Then down to Timonium, thence to spend the whole weekend running around with friends and doing Art Show stuff and shopping and going to panels and singing and practicing recorder and hopefully not being totally depressed.
*sighs*
