Not really. It's too hot.

But I have some ideas.

1) Move as much of the fabric as possible back into the fabric boxes, which will clear space on one set of the bookshelves in the bedroom and another in my room. Maybe a bit of space downstairs as well if I'm lucky/determined. Also, I may give some of it away.

2) Move the photomaster boxes into the bedroom, on the shelves that moving the fabric will clear, and on top of the shelves I fixed so they don't sag a few months ago. This will clear more space in my room.

3) Use the space I've made in my room to try to clear off the shelves behind my desk in my room. If I can do this and frotz a few other things, I can move the desk I've been using in the bedroom into that spot. I can use it as either a writing desk with space for filing bills and such, or a desk for my Windows box and the printer, or both.

4) This will clear off the table in the dining room for either Eris, Tiamat, or another box, depending on what [livejournal.com profile] fosveny thinks of all of this.

5) This will also produce an empty set of Sten shelves, which can be stuck somewere and used for something. Possibly the basement, possibly somewhere else.

6) I'm going to move the tall plastic shelves with sewing stuff to the other side of my regular computer desk, because where they are they block the light from hitting the bed at night so I can sit there and read, and they generally annoy me. Or I'll put them somewhere else in the room, and move in some kind of filing cabinet so I can _really_ file bills and such...

7) I _still_ want to come up with somewhere else for the big futon to live. The place it is now isn't bad, but somewhere not-in-my-room would be absolutely brilliant.

Tomorrow is supposed to be cool enough that I can usefully move back into my room, and I plan to do so. Working in here is doable and better than being stuck downstairs, but it's still driving me nuts.

What this boils down to, really, is that the more I work at home, the more I discover how important my workspace is. A bit of time spent making it better means a _lot_ more effective time working. So...starting tomorrow, assuming the temperature drops like it's supposed to, I'm gonna move back in there and start fixing it.
