Date: 2023-11-10 10:25 am (UTC)I'm learning kumihumo braiding. I've been down about losing my ability to embroider, and avoiding sewing (bending over the table to cut fabric hurts) so have been doing nothing, nada, zilch in the way of crafts. But then I remembered my little foam wheel for braiding so contact our Queen to see if the Royals could use some medallion cords and she said that she'd love that. It's working - I'm having fun and am inspired to learn more than the basic spiral.
But besides that we laid out the funds to get the atleast-10-years-empty main bathroom clad in walls again and prepped for painting, then extended our laziness to contracting for the painting to get done by someone else and the vanity/sink and lighted mirror put in. I don't even regret the cost. Much. And we know that this next Pennsic is our last camping event so I've been buying new equipment for it. Yeah, I know, but we're not packing the heavy wooden tables this time, and reducing the weight we have to lug in and out of the truck as much as we can. Everything I'm buying now will work for modern camping as well as SCA daytrip events. It won't be as period as I would like but I like my back more, now, than I do my authenticity bend.
