cats: long drive to the park edition

The boys had a vet visit … which, since we’re going to be moving there soon, was in Alamosa. But since we aren’t in Alamosa yet, it was a bit of a haul.
I left a bunch of extra time for the drive, though, so we had time to wander around the park a bit first.
Loiosh, of course, got a case of the rips & went up a tree, because have you met him.
[Loiosh, an orange tabby wearing a green harness and a blue bow tie, stands partway up a tree with streaky bark, one paw braced on the trunk in front of him. He’s looking off to the right, ears and whiskers perked.]
There was Dramatical Posing!

Mlem.
[He’s in the same spot, but he’s looking up more, now; his head is in profile and he’s sticking his tongue out. Perhaps there’s a bird.]
In the meantime? Tom just followed along behind us, grumbling about the lack of cover. He’s a forest cat at heart.
[Major Tom, a big grey tabby, stomps his way through a big open field, towards the camera. One forepaw is raised mid step and his ears are stuck out to the sides.]

Or maybe he's just jealous because he doesn't have a fancy bow tie. :-)

Date: 2022-03-21 12:29 am (UTC)That's fair enough, yeah -- open ground exposes you to airborne predators, after all. And a bright blue tie makes it harder to hide. If one is not prone to dramatical poses to begin with, I can see why he'd not be into that.
