Ahh! I think I've found one of my blind spots -- for me, it's pretty easy to think about how the front wall of the wagon will go together, & work from there to figure out what length boards & such I need. I've been using Inkscape to actually draw everything out, but that's partly to be really, really sure & honestly partly for funsies. I'm guessing this skill isn't as widespread as I'd thought?
