three #smallbeauties:
autumn leaves against a hard blue sky
the gentle lowing of cows
tiny birds
three things I did right:
flipped the breaker before I poked at the electrical outlet (okay, the second time)
took breaks as necessary & appropriate
put in the effort to get my bed set up properly
three things I learned:
flip the damn breaker first
I have friends(!) who I can rely on to Fo the Things(!!)
I have the Best Actually Ever Cats
three things I am grateful for:
all the cats are settling into the new place well
including Major Tom who, far from being mad at us for moving him as I thought, has turned into a purry ball of Love
also holy crap Major Tom is here with us, & safe
I was so worried with us down here most of the time & not putting out food for him, he'd decide that we'd abandoned him & bugger off elsewhere, or that we'd just keep not being there when he was there, & that we'd lose him in the move. Instead, he was waiting on the front porch last night, sang the Song of his People in the car (but wasn't _angry_), & once we got him into the room he's staying in until he has had A Snipping, purred loud enough for us to hear(!) & kneaded with his paws(!!), both of which are firsts from him. He is SO HAPPY we came back for him. I'm wondering, given his reactions, if he _did_ have people at one point, & they abandoned him.
...that said, he _still_ hasn't the faintest idea what a litterbox is for, so maybe not so much.
