Gone Hiking
Jun. 8th, 2010 12:14 pmSaturday I took a day off (my first real one in probably a month) and went hiking with friends. It was a good day -- not without a few tough moments, and I got overtired and cranky at the end, but overall, I'll take it. Being outside and being with friends are two things I know will help, and given the depth of the depression I'm still slogging through, I've got to do everything I can to work through it.
So anyway, we went up to Rocky Mountain National Park, since it was a free weekend at all the parks. I love RMNP; I could go up there every weekend for a year and still not be tired of it. We went to a few places I'd been plenty of times before, but going with new people helps me see different things.
I'd never been to Chasm Falls this early in the season, for one, and so I'd never seen it in the middle of spring thaw:
