short takes: a gift!

[ A Nikon D S L R sits on my bed, the case behind it. It’s obviously been through some stuff, but it looks like it’s still in good shape. ]

Not even a Giftmas gift — it’s a ‘I’m not using it so what the hell’ gift, from a friend who knows how vital good product pictures are to anyone who sells things online.

Not that I’m using it yet, I still need to get an SD card reader, & then figure out the bells & whistles — there are a LOT of bells & whistles, & the last time I used a camera anywhere NEAR this complicated, they hadn’t invented digital cameras yet.

I’ll get there, though. Thank you, Larisa, you ROCK!

Very nice. I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and it was the last Nikon to use a specific series of lenses because it has an autofocus 'screw drive' that was abandoned. You can probably get some good deals on those specific lens series on Ebay.

I just gave away my lowest DSLR to one of my best friends. Her Canon Rebel was falling apart, she was very happy.
