MOM get UP get UP

P_20191023_103758_vHDR_On

…I caught him mid-sneeze. I love my boy. He is SUCH a dork.

He’s also an impatient lil shit in the morning.

First comes the Gentle But Pointed Pawtap.

He's got his right paw stuck out & looks very focused & determined.

It’s repeated, with a bit more vigour. (It does NOT help his mood when I start taking pictures, mind you.)

This photo's taken from just a bit further away. He's looking me in the eye & his paw is stretched out, touching the blankets.

Eventually there’s straight-up digging. With claws.

MOM.

He's leaning forward a bit more & his paw is a diggy blur. MOM.

He is not a subtle child.

Yes, I got up.

Our previous poodle, Celeste, figured out how to do an alarm clock. She'd sit by the side of the bed and let out a low *woof*. Then a slightly louder *Woof*. Then a louder *Woof*. And an even louder *WOOF*.

Eventually we got up.

Oh, I forgot the best part: she would tap the bedside with her paw every time she did it!  Sometimes I'd be awake and I'd just stay there waiting for the tap and the woof.

She was a sweet dog.  When she needed to go attend to business, she'd go to the front door and woof.  We'd let her out, a few minutes later she'd be at the front door and we'd let her back in. I quite liked her, but she wasn't good with kids.
