the cats were all appallingly well-behaved & i think the roommate in question is possibly the only person i could spend that much time in a van with & not cause murder
that said i will be glad that they are on the other side of the house from me tonight
[yeah, you have to decompress after that kind of confined social action, right? that's how it works?? o_o ] [i am proud of your cats, please pet them for me as appropriate ]
...you know, I really think they only freaked out over things like big trucks & wind?
That said, Hades has decided that he is Offended by the Existence of Big Trucks & will glare in Highly Offended Fashion at any that are within glaring range, which is, when one is spending several days cross in the country on I40, kind of a LOT of trucks.
last night on the road Tom was Curious about a nearby parked-but-still-running BigTruck so I walked him over to see
I didn't let him get too close cos I knew the driver was just in getting a hot dog or whatevs but Tom woulda walked right under the thing if I'd let him
I really didn't know how the trip was gonna go...I mean I knew Loiosh & Hades would be okay? But Tom? Longest _he'd_ been in the car before was maybe an hour. & he just. Adjusted to it. Like, I live in a van now, there are trucks around & they're loud, but I get to roll in LOTS of different kinds of grass, I LIKE that.
Loiosh, who has, indeed, Been There & also Done That, but definitely played it up some. 'Yeah, it's a really big truck. So what?' 'Yes, we're in the dog park even though we're cats, that's not even weird, come ON.'
