Well, it's that time. The time we all knew would come. It's time to Get the Cat Fixed.



He's not too thrilled about this as you can see. But under the circumstances, who can blame him?

In honour of his soon-to-be-missing bits (and in the hopes of helping cover some of the costs) I'll be running a Get the Cat Fixed Sale through the month of October. 25% off of everything in the store! (Shipping isn't included in the sale, unless I can talk the post office into it, which I doubt.)

Is there a way to see (for example) all of the stuff in your store made with lavender? I can see all of the stuff on etsy with lavender using the tag... but that's not what I want.

I already submitted my order for the sale invoice, but I'd really also like some rose soap, and (I've never seen you do it, but if you would...) a soap similar to your Leana's Favorite line. Or just a lavender soap. Pretty please?

I can do that. It'll be a couple weeks until they're ready, though.

Rose soap is gonna be a little more expensive than the rest -- six dollars for a five-ounce bar. I was already planning a lavender chamomile soap so no worries there! Or would you prefer the plain lavender?

The extra price is fine. I can go ahead and pay now and you could ship the whole mess when the new soaps are ready - no reason to pay for shipping twice when I'm not in any real rush for stuff. If you were planning a lavender chamomile, that sounds cool. :-)

Okay. At the top bar -- the one with 'etsy' on the left -- there's that search box. Just to the left of it is a little drop-down menu. Pick ''omshanti's shop' out of that and search 'lavender'.

However, it doesn't seem to want to show everything. I might have screwed something up in my tags, though.

I almost regret that every time I look at your stuff, I then look sheepishly over at the table covered in beads that are feeling unloved and unstrung, and can't bring myself to buy any of yours, and I am overstocked on bath/body stuff already. :(

Okay, dumb left field comment, because I absolutely love the idea of chai lip balm, but the description left me scratching my head when it said that it was both "warming as a hot cup of chai" and "cooling on...chapped lips." Please tell me that this is an unfortunate simile collision, and that it doesn't feel like Icy Hot? Because I want some, but I do not like Icy Hot face.

Also, any luck finding something that would be a good herbal antihistamine cream or ointment?

Spastic topic jumping again, to ask if you've considered setting up a table at a farmer's market to sell your tasty-sounding bath and body stuffs? Laramie's market is just about over for the season, but you might want to give some thought to spending a Friday afternoon or two up here next summer. People here like to shop on-line, but they also like to see what they're buying in person the first time, so a couple of trips up here might boost your sales.

1) Unfortunate simile collision. Durr. No relationship with Icy Hot. Must rewrite when brain, which may be someday.

2) Depends on what you're being allergic to. I'm told the Bite, Sting & Rash works great on hives. I didn't mean for it to, but hey, I'll take it.

3) Thought about it. Most of our local ones start at OMG AM and I deal awesomely poorly with this. The one I found that is actually in the afternoon filled up in March and wouldn't even take my name as a potential fill-in.

That said, afternoon? I can do. Specially if I have somewhere to sleep up there the night before so I'm not doing _all_ my driving in one day.

I have a couch. My house smells like cat pee, and Lio would have to stay home, or my enormous cranky beasts would eat him. If you could live with that, you'd be welcome to crash, and we can swing a folding chair, and possibly a folding table for you to set up with. You'd have to bring your own EZ-up, but we could probably arrange to store a handful of cinder blocks for tying it down to.

My allergies are to the cats, whee, hives. I might have to try the Bite, Sting & Rash. My walking partner has terrible eczema, and I'm thinking about the "breakfast" bath tea for her for the holidays, but if you had found anything to be an analog for Benadryl cream or similar products, I'd have put that on the list, too. (I won't be ordering right away, but hopefully soon.)

Another question: how many ounces is the bug repellent? A competing product (http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=-109&categoryId=10010&subCategoryId=-139&catalogId=10051&storeId=10001&langId=-1) is selling for more per bottle, at 4 oz. each. You might want to look into the lemongrass and rosemary - the person I found this one through said it was extremely effective. Before I suggest yours as similar and less expensive, I wanted to be able to give them the price per ounce comparison. You are well-stocked in case you get a sudden rash of orders, I hope?

Edit: I obviously can't read tonight. It clearly says right there that the bottles hold 2 oz.

I can live with cat pee smell and Loiosh will simply have to hang from the window screens and wail. (He does anyway.)

Folding tables I got and I can borrow and EZ-up if I haven't got my own by then.

The breakfast tea will probably do her some good. If I think of it (always an open question) I'll do more specific research into what might help.

Bug spray is two ounces. Alas, at that size they're cheaper. I will be posting (when I get off my ass!) a twelve ounce size at $20, though, which is a better price.

I'll poke at rosemary and lemongrass -- alas, late in the season to test here! But there's always next summer.

I'm stocked on everything I can't just crank out as necessary, yes. Most of my stuff, though, I can just make on demand. Which is awesome. :)

And I found a place that'll do him on the cheap, so to speak. At this point I'm bringing in enough on this sale that I'm thinking I'll make a donation to the local Humane Society.
