I had a ball gown/prom dress that was purple 💜 with green 💚 accents. THAT was 30 years ago, so there to the naysayers! It was renaissance style, with a crumb catcher bodice and over and under skirts.

I can't stand most modern dress wear. I prefer a tailcoat, medieval, renaissance, or even steampunk to what passes as appropriate these days. (Yes, I have a cane when needed and can wield it like singlestick. 🤣😉)
