For as long as I can remember, I've tried to fly in my dreams, but my wings were never enough to hold me.
(It's possible that even as a kid I knew too much about the amount of lift necessary for something the size & mass of a human to fly...)
The last couple years, though, as I was reminded in my dreams last night, I've discovered that I fly JUST FINE on repulsors.
*does loop-de-loops around the Empire State building just for funsies*

On the Tony-and-Stinger swap, just. Tony post-Avengers, pre-IM3, with the untreated PTSD and the desperate need to find ways to drown out the brain weasels and the screaming, swapped with Stinger post-movie, who's dealing with his own guilt over shit he did, and worried about Kiza's health, and maybe just has his wings back.
Tony has to deal with Kiza and Jupiter and Caine and Tsing, and an incoming royal guard for Jupiter who are expecting Stinger Apini, captain of a squadron of Skyjackers, as their commanding officer, and not Caine as a temporary leader because their captain is currently missing, and replaced by a crazy tersie engineer who has an ego the size of any Entitled, and the technical skills to back up his ego. He's promising he can get their space-bee-dad back, but he needs to build his tools first, give him something to program his AI.
And Pepper and Rhodey and SHIELD and the Avengers have, instead of their familiar Tony Stark, Iron Man, billionare genius playboy philanthropist, Stinger, space bee dad with wings and unfamiliar weapons that make Steve twitch (he won't admit to anyone but himself that it's because they remind him of the HYDRA weapons of WWII, and the Chitauri weapons of more recent vintage, and PTSD is a thing), who is more a soldier than an engineer, and definitely can't do the science! that's needed to get Tony back, it's not something he was trained for. But he can help them with this Mandarin, and the resurgence of HYDRA, while someone figures out how he got there, and how to get him home.
And both of them are drowning in their own feels, and someone is going to end up metaphorically hitting them over the heads, because dude. And either they get swapped back without meeting each other properly, or there's some kind of temporary portal thingie where they get to meet in passing, and possibly people on either side get to go hi and wave while exchanging crazy flying guys who seriously needed to get out of their heads for a while.
(Also, just imagining the pretty of Sean Bean among the Avengers, and the pretty of RDJ among the folks of Jupiter Ascending. So much pretty.)

(It's a fantastic movie, and so much fun. And So. Pretty. Politics and relationships and Sean Bean lives, and fun technology and some explosions because of course, and bees and and and. *does happy wiggling about it* The next time we are in the same place at the same time with enough electricity to keep the laptop happy, I have it in digital format and we can sit down to watch it together.)
