When a fairly short walk up to the bank and then the store results in such achiness...I need to get back in shape. But then I've set about doing just that.
A simple trip out to purchase socks (white, all the same kind, but enough different from Lewis's that I can sort them out easily) turned into a somewhat longer trip which resulted in socks of many colors, four really pretty glasses of a type which I recognize as being designed for a certain type of alcoholic beverage (though I cannot remember which one), and very nearly a cashmere sweater (mostly pastel or turtlenecked or both and really not to my taste).
A mailing list I'm on has been discussing the NaNoWriMo Project/Contest/Thingy, in which the challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. Doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to be proofread, just has to be 50,000 words long. The idea is to get people focused on _writing_. I find myself severely tempted to give it a try, if I can free up enough time from things I _have_ to be doing...
